How does a first meeting differ from a first session?
A first meeting isn't a deep dive into the work — it's an honest conversation with someone who genuinely wants to help you. It's a space to share what's been weighing on you, ask questions, and get a sense of whether this path feels right for you, before moving into the work itself.
Our practitioners have walked the same path you're on. They know what it's like to search for answers, to feel afraid of opening up, to wonder whether it's safe to trust someone with your story. That's exactly why the first meeting is built as a heart-to-heart conversation rather than a formal consultation — no rush, no pressure, and an understanding of the pain that brought you here.
What can you expect from the conversation?
In the first meeting, the practitioner listens to what you're going through, asks questions about your situation, and together you figure out which approach fits you.
This is time to share what's bothering you, how long you've been carrying it, and what you've already tried. There's no right or wrong way to talk about it — just speak the way it feels true to you.
What is a hypnotic susceptibility check, and why is it done?
In the first meeting, you may be offered a check of your hypnotic susceptibility — your natural capacity to enter a relaxed, focused state of consciousness we call the alfa state.
It's worth clearing up the biggest misunderstanding around the word "hypnosis" right away. We don't mean anything being done to you from outside — no one taking control of you or overriding your will. We're talking about a state of consciousness you already move in and out of many times a day, often without noticing: falling asleep, driving a familiar route, standing in the shower when a solution suddenly appears. It's exactly through this natural state that we approach subconscious work — not against you, but together with you.
How safe and gentle is this process?
Our practice is built on a careful, non-directive approach — we go only as far as your psyche is ready to go, and we never push toward something it isn't ready to face.
We draw on an Ericksonian, non-directive approach: rather than imposing a fixed script or interpretation, we follow what naturally comes up, at your own pace. If, during the process, your psyche signals that a particular subject is still too painful to approach directly, we honor that boundary and move carefully rather than pushing forward.
Do you need to decide on deeper work right at the first meeting?
No. The first meeting is a space for getting to know each other and asking questions — not a commitment to jump straight into deep work.
For some people, readiness to begin shows up during that very first conversation. Others need time to think it over, ask more questions, or simply build trust. Both paths are completely normal.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does "hypnosis" here mean the same thing shown in movies?
No. It's not a loss of control or submission to someone else's will — it's a natural state of consciousness (the alfa state) in which a person remains fully aware and can step out of it at any moment.
What if I'm nervous before the first meeting?
That's completely natural. That's exactly why the first meeting is designed as a calm conversation rather than immediate deep work — to give you the time and space to feel safe.
Does a hypnotic susceptibility check mean not everyone is suited to this method?
It's more a way to understand each person's individual characteristics than a pass/fail test. The method adapts to the person, not the other way around.
What if, during the work, I realize I'm not ready to touch a certain subject?
That's exactly what our approach is designed for — working carefully with what your psyche is ready for, and never forcing what it hasn't yet grown into.
